OUR STORY BEGINS WITH YOU
Located in Yancey County 30 miles northeast of Asheville, Mount Mitchell State Park was the genesis of North Carolina's state parks system. At 6,684 feet, the mountain is the highest point east of the Mississippi River, and an observation deck provides breathtaking mountain views on a clear day. Starting in May of 2024, Mt. Mitchell Cafe & Eatery will be open to serve you exquisite views and comfort dining options, including gourmet salads, elevated sandwiches, and more.

OUR INGREDIENTS
Hand-crafted sandwiches, salads, soups, and more are elevated and served with mountain-top views. Using only the freshest ingredients, we are dedicated to crafting each plate with purpose and passion. We are proud to partner with local vendors, serving you high-quality ingredients including antibiotic-free, non-GMO proteins, local produce, artisan breads, and more.
OUR SERVICE
We are a hospitality-driven, fast-casual concept where you place your order with a Creator of Guest Experience at the front of the restaurant and then enjoy service in the dining area.
No reservations are required. We offer first-come, first-served seating. For groups of 20+, please submit your group inquiry here.
For guests with fur babies, we offer outdoor patio seating in Adirondack chairs. We encourage guests with pets to order takeout and enjoy the beautiful views on the patio.
